If you’re looking for Tongariro Crossing accommodation, we’re just a 30-minute drive from the start of the crossing at Mangatepopo Road. We’re also walking distance away from the Tongariro River which is one of the best spots in New Zealand for trout fishing and white-water rafting. If skiing is on your radar, we’re just a 45-minute drive to the Whakapapa ski field or a five-minute walk to catch the shuttles to Mt Ruapehu.
